Filmaporto showcases films by Agente a Norte in a free screening at Batalha

On Friday 7 February, at 7.15pm, Batalha Centro do Cinema will host a Filmaporto industry screening showcasing the work of Porto-based production company Agente a Norte. Entry is free.

Founded in 2014 by Diana Roquette and Marta Lima, Agente a Norte is a talent agency and audiovisual producer. The screening at Batalha will feature a selection of films produced by the company, including Carga, by Luís Campos, Life Railways. Restless Wind, by Tomás Baltazar, and Campos Belos, by David Ferreira.

Carga depicts the harsh reality of two youths living in a fishing village who are involved in drug trafficking, exploring the tension between loyalty and the desire to escape. Life Railways. Restless Wind follows Samuel, a German journalist searching for the writer Alma Bentes, as he journeys through the memories inscribed in Portuguese railway stations where time and restlessness intertwine. Finally, in a single continuous shot, Campos Belos presents the existential journey of three characters at a factory on the banks of the River Ave, reflecting on the unfolding of time and life.

The screening will be presented by the filmmakers and producer Marta Lima, and is free to attend with a ticket collected from the box office on the day of the screening (limited to two tickets per person).
