Filmaporto presents “90 Minutes Power Nap”: an ASMR experience at Batalha Centro de Cinema

On 8 May, at 7.15pm, Filmaporto — film commission presents the film 90 Minutes Power Nap, by Léticia Costelha and Miguel Tavares, at Batalha Centro de Cinema.

Drawing on ASMR — a neurosensorial phenomenon in which relaxing sensations are triggered by repetitive auditory cues — 90 Minutes Power Nap seeks to bring this experience, which is usually individual, into a collective setting. Inspired by videos that have gone viral online, the film explores soft whispers, the handling of objects and contact with various textures, with the aim of inducing comfort and relaxation. Designed to calm the mind and reduce anxiety, this film invites the audience to an experience of sonic intimacy rarely seen in the cinema auditorium.

The screening, presented by the directors Letícia Costelha and Miguel Tavares, is part of the Filmaporto Sessions dedicated to filmmakers from Porto and projects shot in the city. The films shown are selected via an open call run by Filmaporto — film commission.

Admission is free, subject to ticket collection on the day, limited to two tickets per person.
