A Nebulosa: Film Course culminates with the premiere of 11 short films at Batalha

On 24 May at 7.15 pm, Batalha Centro de Cinema will host the final presentation of the 3rd edition of A Nebulosa — Open Film Course, featuring the screening of the 11 short films produced over the last few months.

Organised by Rua Escura, with the support of Filmaporto — film commission, the initiative began in September 2025 and was mentored by filmmakers André Gil Mata, Cláudia Ribeiro and Frederico Lobo.

Throughout the course, participants were encouraged to experiment and develop their own cinematic vision, free from dogma, exploring cinema as a language and seeking an individual artistic path.

The result is the creation of a 16mm short film by each participant, films that will now be screened publicly at a session attended by those who took part in the course: Adriana Assunção, Diogo Maia, Joana Santos, Luísa Cortez, Marcelo Pereira, Pedro M. Afonso, Pedro Pereira, Rafaela Gomes, Ricardo Menezes, Rita Torres and Susana Fernando.

The screening, followed by a discussion with Rua Escura and course participants, is free of charge, subject to collecting a ticket on the day, limited to two tickets per person.
