A Nebulosa: Registration is now open for the free film course

Registration is now open for the 3rd edition of A Nebulosa, the free 16mm film course promoted by Cooperativa Rua Escura. This initiative aims to stimulate cinematic vision and practice through the sensory experience of film, the city of Porto, and sharing with filmmakers André Gil Mata, Cláudia Ribeiro, Frederico Lobo, and guest speakers.

Inspired by the film club tradition of the past, A Nebulosa opens itself up to the community as a space for discovery and experimentation. In a free programme, participants delve into specific cases from the history of cinema and explore, in practice, the functioning of 16mm cameras, sound recording, lighting and the construction of a film on film. More than teaching formulas, the course aims to accompany each participant in the search for their own cinematic gesture.

At the end, each person will be challenged to make a short film in 16mm. Rua Escura provides all the necessary equipment for shooting and post-production.

The course is free, open to those over 18 years of age, and does not require any previous experience in cinema. Registrations must be made using the form available on the Rua Escura website.
